Commitment

Designed toward WCAG 2.2 AA.

The upgraded website is designed toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing product requirement, not a final checklist. Production hosting, third-party integrations and future content changes must be retested before claims are expanded.

Implemented features

Access built into the system.

  • Semantic headings, one main landmark and a skip link on every page.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, mobile menu, tabs, product gallery and results controls.
  • Visible focus indicators and strong text/button contrast.
  • Persistent form labels, native validation and clear instructions.
  • Reduced-motion support and static fallbacks for visual effects.
  • Responsive text, comfortable reading widths and no intentional horizontal page scrolling.
  • Alternative text for meaningful images and decorative treatment kept out of the accessibility tree.
  • Print-friendly rules, terms, privacy and accessibility content.

Third-party content

Known external limits.

Race Result, Mailchimp, Square, HIIT56, HIIT56 Online, Boutique56 and social platforms operate their own pages and controls. The ROUTE56 results page provides direct links and requires consent before loading the Race Result iframe so visitors are not trapped when embedded content is inaccessible or blocked.

Compatibility

Built for common modern paths.

The site is intended to work with current versions of major desktop and mobile browsers, keyboard-only input, touch, browser zoom, reduced-motion preferences and common screen-reader/browser combinations. No website can guarantee identical behavior across every outdated browser or assistive-technology pairing.

Feedback

Report the barrier, not just the page.

Use the accessibility topic in the contact form. Include the page, task, device, browser, assistive technology and what happened. Do not include sensitive medical information.
